A PUB wall dedicated to late celebrities has paid Respect to Motown legend Aretha Franklin who died last week.
The Prince Albert pub in Brighton has honoured the Queen of Soul by putting her on its well-loved mural in Frederick Place.
The legendary singer died last Thursday in a hospice, surrounded by family and friends. She was 76.
The Aretha portrait joins other legends from the music industry which include Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Johnny Cash and Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.
She has replaced the one-time spot of Northern Ireland and Manchester United footballer George Best and has pride of place next to Banksy’s kissing policemen.
The Aretha artwork was put up on Monday and has already proved to be a number one hit with locals.
Many smiling passers-by have been spotted taking selfies with the star portrait.
