IT’S A day none of us will ever forget.

It’s a day we often ask ourselves where we were when we first heard the news.

It’s also a day that makes us all feel remarkably sad.

But for the 11 families of those who died on Saturday August 22, 2015, it’s a day that changed their lives for ever.

Nobody can even begin to imagine how the loved ones will be feeling today or indeed every day.

Today marks the third anniversary of the Shoreham air disaster.

A disaster it was.

Eleven people lost their lives on that fateful day, a desperately sad day for everyone.

Three years on and so many questions are still unanswered.

There is a court case to come with pilot Andy Hill due to stand trial next year.

And the inquests will only come after a jury decides if Mr Hill is guilty or innocent.

The families deserve answers and we hope that they will get them, however long it may take.

The court process can be a very long one and their loved ones have no choice but to be patient.

Closure for them will be a long way off, indeed it may never come.

Today will be an exceptionally difficult day for their loved ones.

Every day must be tough, today tougher than most.

Some will gather on the Shoreham bridge, others will remember in private.

Remember isn’t really the right word because they do that every day.

They could never forgot.

We wish them all our very best and I’m sure all our readers will feel the same.

If only we could turn back the clock.

Sadly, we can’t.
