A FIRE broke out at a house in Seaford.
Eight fire engines were called to the scene in Hawth Way at 5.51pm on Wednesday, April 3.
A section of the A259 was closed while emergency services attended the incident.
No-one was badly hurt and everyone in the property was accounted for.
One person was treated by paramedics after breathing in smoke.
It is believed that the fire started in an upstairs bedroom.

One neighbour said: "I heard a funny noise and came out of my house to see two fire engines and the house across the road had billowing smoke coming from its roof.
"I was shocked. You don't see many house fires any more.
"There was an ambulance down here earlier and one of the fast response cars.
"There was lots of smoke coming out of the roof, firemen with breathing masks and apparatus went into the building.
"I didn't expect to see this happen here. It's terrible."
The road has been blocked and police are diverting cars away from the scene.
A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Seaford, Newhaven, Lewes, Eastbourne and Brighton attended.

At 8.06pm, the spokesman sent out a further update on the fire.
He said: "The incident is now being downsized to three appliances.
"Crews are carrying out salvage of the property.
"It is believed that the fire emanated from a first floor bedroom.
"A fire investigation will take place."
