A SINKHOLE the size of a small dining table opened up in a busy road yesterday – causing disruption for motorists.
The hole in the road, estimated to be about 4ft by 3ft wide, was spotted yesterday morning on the westbound lane of the A259 in Portslade.
Temporary traffic lights have been installed.
One passer-by said: “I bet they will cause total chaos for commuters driving along that road in the morning.”
