Woman feared dead in Beachy Head plunge

A major search operation is to begin again tomorrow after police received reports of a possible suicide.
A police helicopter and two lifeboats helped police and Eastbourne Lifeguard Rescue Team scour the area after a member of the public reported seeing a woman jump from Beachy Head, near Eastbourne, at 5pm today.
The search was called off at 8.30pm but is due to continue again today if weather conditions permitted.
