Lloyds TSB is looking to recruit 100 new members of staff in Brighton.

The bank is on the hunt for enthusiastic new recruits to work at the contact centre at Sussex House, 1-9 Gloucester Place, Brighton.

It already employs more than 450 people from the ages of 18 upwards at Sussex House to handle a wide range of over the phone queries from customers. The centre receives around 8000 calls per hour.

Sally Jones-Evans, managing director of telephone banking at Lloyds said: "We have a wide range of full and part time roles available so it's incredibly easy for people to find a way of working that suits their lifestyle.

"Whether that's weekdays, weekends, evenings or early mornings it's entirely their choice. We work around the clock so there's a great deal of flexibility." Cheryl Osbourne, core banking advisor at Sussex House said: "Working at the contact centre is really flexible and fits in perfectly around a busy home life.

"There's loads of opportunity to develop your career and I would definitely recommend it for somebody looking for a flexible, friendly working environment."

The bank is looking for people to fill a range of part time and full time roles and is stressing that the part time roles will be beneficial for parents who need to take childcare into account.

Amy Mankelow from Lloyds said: "No experience in banking is necessary. The most important thing is a good telephone manner so people who have worked in retail are often well equipped.

"The salary will depend on the role and on the experience of the candidate. Applicants don't have to have worked at Lloyds in the past."

The job will involve handling customer queries like credit card enquiries, changes of address and statement queries.

Successful applicants should also get a range of benefits including medical healthcare, childcare vouchers and even cash bonuses. There will be paid holidays and a flexible system of 'cash for holidays' is in place for those who don't manage to take their holiday.
