Binmen were today standing outside their depot after going on wildcat strike over claims that some workers have been told they are "too fat and lazy" to do their jobs.
About 30 workers were outside their Cityclean base in Upper Hollingdean Road, Brighton, this morning.
About 300 people are on strike.
The workers are demanding a meeting with Brighton and Hove City Council leader Brian Oxley as they try to reach a solution.
They are also considering holding a ballot to make the strike action official.
Binmen talking to The Argus this morning said they want to work and feel they are "letting residents down" but say they are "at the end of their tether".
