Alarming swelling

Help! I'm 18 and last night I was feeling around with my fingertips and found a lump at the upper end of my vagina, about the size of a nose.
Could it be a cancer?
I'd say almost certainly you are just touching your cervix. This structure does sometimes alarm younger women who are feeling around inside for the first time. Your local Family Planning Clinic opens on a Monday evening, so why not just pop in there tonight, so they can examine you and reassure you?
