Cash stolen in armed raid

Hundreds of pounds were stolen from an off-licence in an armed raid.

A man brandished a weapon at staff in The Local in Limbrick Corner, Worthing, at 10pm on Thursday and took cash from the till before running off towards the Renault garage. No one was injured.

The man was 6ft and skinny. He was wearing a hooded top, jeans and something over his face.

DS Colin O'Hare said police were looking at CCTV images of the incident but they could not reveal what weapon the man had used.
