Albion boss backs Leeds

12:49am Thursday 15th May 2008

Micky Adams has two good reasons to hope Leeds United get to Wembley tonight.

The Albion manager would like to see his old club climb back towards what many consider their rightful place in the top flight.

But he would also be happy to see them eliminated from the push for League One honours next season, when they would be free of the points deduction which hindered them this time.

Leeds go to Carlisle for the second leg of their play-off semi-final looking to pull back a 2-1 deficit.

Adams said: "For Leeds United to be in this division is criminal. I played there in better times and I'll be looking for their results.

"With the spending power they have, in an ideal world they would go up to the next division."
