Glad to see justice done

Congratulations to Crawley magistrates for taking a tough line with Nicholas Soames MP over his quad bike antics and banning him from driving. If it had been some callow 19-year-old behaving like this, Mr Soames and his Tory chums would have been up in arms calling for the toughest penalties for their antisocial and dangerous behaviour. "Lock them up and throw away the key," you would hear them cry, for putting people's lives at risk in the pursuit of a little excitement.
Will Mr Soames now do the decent thing and resign his seat at Westminster? Or was he trying to keep the Princess Royal Hospital open by providing it with a steady supply of accident victims?
