Doubling up

I am 23 and because my periods are rather uncontrollable, I have got in the habit of using two tampons at once. Is this harmful?
I wouldn't actually say it was harmful but it does clearly indicate your menstrual flow is far too heavy. So I forecast you'll be anaemic before very long, simply because of the amount of iron you must be losing in each period. Please see a doctor soon. She will examine you and suggest measures to make your periods lighter.
