I am 38 and for the past four months I have noticed bleeding between my periods. Can I assume this is just due to my age?
Certainly not. Bleeding between periods must always be regarded with a certain amount of suspicion – particularly in the over-35s. This symptom can be due to all sorts of causes, including cancer of the cervix. So I urge you to get to a doc or a clinic this week and have an internal examination, including a smear test.
