Fifth arrest over violent robbery

A fifth man has been arrested over a violent robbery.
A 28-year-old man suffered face and head injuries and burns after he was grabbed by masked men and driven away in a van on Saturday.
A 25-year-old man was arrested this morning on suspicion of kidnap over the attack in Cumberland Gardens, St Leonards.
this afternoon.
Four men have now appeared in court charged with robbery.
Lee O’Brien, 22 years, of Marlborough Close, St Leonards, Philip O’Brien, 23 years, of North Street, St Leonards, Nathaniel Billings, 23 years, of Knights Meadow, Battle, and Matthew Orton, 29 years, from Brookland, Romney Marsh, Kent, were remanded in custody until November after appearing at Hastings Magistrates' Court this week.
