There were smiles all round at Peacehaven Community School as students opened the envelopes containing their GCSE results.

The results were the culmination of years of school work and study and – in its third year of reporting GCSE results – the school earned its best results yet.

The school's “value added” score has been consistently high and the school and its students exceeded their targets.

Three in five Year 11 students achieved five A* to C grades and almost half achieved five A* to C grades including English and Maths.

While the school is proud of all its students, a few exceptional sets out of results stand out. They include

  • Dave Bennett, who has a record breaking 14 A* to C grades
  • Liz Mitchell, who has13 A* to C grades, including six A grades and one A*, and
  • Chloe Breeds, who has 12 A* to C grades, including five A grades and an A*.
