Arsons destroy parked vehicles

A car and a motorcycle were torched in overnight arsons.

Firefighters were called to a burning scooter and a car overnight.

A scooter parked near Whitehawk School in Whitehawk Road, Whitehawk, was reported to be on fire at about 7.35pm last night.

At 2.17am today a Renault Megane was reported to be burning in Westfield Avenue South, Saltdean.

Both vehicles were damaged beyond repair. The fires are being treated as deliberate.

The blazes follow arsons in Cuckmere Way and Fernhurst Close, Hollingbury, on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters in Eastbourne had to deal with a similar attack at 5am today. A Ford Mondeo was destroyed by fire in Holly Place, Hampden Park.
