One of the most sought after number plates in the country is due to be sold in Sussex later this month.
Auctioneers believe the registration mark S1 will fetch £250,000 when it is sold at the Goodwood Revival festival, near Chichester, on September 19.
It belonged to a “pioneer” of motoring and was one of the first issued in Edinburgh.
