A new headmaster has taken over at Shoreham College private school.

Jim Stearns was previously assistant head at Farlington School, near Horsham, and was director of information technology at Norwich School.

Mr Stearns takes over from Roy Iremonger who retired in July.

He was brought up in Kent and began his teaching career at a comprehensive school in Essex before moving into private education.

He is joined at the college in St Julian’s Lane, Shoreham, by his wife Anne and children Chloe, ten and Joshua, five.
