High Street traders are being asked for their opinions about plans to double the size of a Tesco store.
The Uckfield Regeneration Partnership is launching a questionnaire aimed at shops and businesses in the town.
It comes after Tesco unveiled plans to double the size of its store in Bell Farm Road.
Questions posed included asking whether increased footfall in the town centre would benefit their businesses and whether traders believed the town centre needed investment.
Co-ordinator Barry Knights said: "We want to establish an accurate, first-hand response to the possible development.
"Hopefully they’ll highlight both the positive and negative reactions of the towns’ business people to the project."
Mr Knights said each trader would be interviewed personally.
