A man had to be cut free from his car after crashing into a lamppost.
The accident happened in New Salts Farm Road, Shoreham, on Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters from Shoreham, Lancing and Worthing were called to free the man from the wreckage of his silver Ford Focus at around 1.20pm.
The Sussex Air Ambulance was scrambled but the man, believed to be in his 30s, was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital by land ambulance with a suspected broken leg.
No other cars were reported to be involved in the accident.
