eBay lovers tie the knot on Valentine's Day

A lucky couple who bought their Valentine’s wedding on eBay enjoyed a perfect day.

Rachel and Ade Farthing tied the knot on the most romantic day of the year, after successfully placing the winning bid of £2,850 for the wedding.

And the happy couple say organising their wedding quickly was the best way to do it.

The new Mrs Farthing, 30, bid for her dream wedding after seeing it auctioned by the Best Western Brighton Hotel in King’s Road, Brighton.

She said: “It was a perfect day. Everything went to plan.”

The couple had been engaged for six years and together for ten.

The hotel’s staff had placed the ceremony on the internet auction site when the couple who had been due to tie the knot split up and cancelled their big day.

Mrs Farthing wore a red wedding dress from Perfection Bridalwear in Hove. Mr Farthing, 35, was provided with a suit from Dickies Suit Hire in Hove.

The flowers were supplied by Amaryliss Florists.

The couple’s children - Liam, 13, Mia, five, and Huey, two - also enjoyed the big day.

I'm happy for the couple and wish them well but:

ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT ADVERT

Shame they didn't add where the children got their clothes - about the only firm that wasn't mentioned!

I thought this story would appear eventually...

That hotel is a complete hole, by the way.

Talk about ripped off!

Is this a wind up?

A couple bought a wedding for just short of 3k and the reception was held in a 'Best Western' Hotel?

Where's the honeymoon? Butlins' in Bognor?
