A cyclist found seriously injured in the street has died.
Frederick James Palmer, 76, of Silver Strand West, Eastbourne, was found by a passer-by in Normans Bay Road, Normans Bay, near Eastbourne, on Monday.
He was discovered at 4.10pm lying in the street near the level crossing with his bike still between his legs.
He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital but died on Wednesday night.
Anyone who saw what happened, or saw him riding between Bexhill and Eastbourne through Pevensey Way on Monday, is asked to contact Sussex Police’s road policing unit at Polegate on 0845 6070999 quoting Operation Covington.
