Former Coronation Street star in Sussex film

A film starring former Coronation Street actor and Hove resident Brian Capron will launch a festival.

The screening of Ambleton Delight will kick off The End Of The Pier Film Festival in Worthing on Saturday.

Mr Capron will join the cast and crew at the event in the Ritz Theatre.

The film was shot in Sussex, showcasing local talent.

It revolves around a small fictional Sussex village named Ambleton during the apple harvest season which is rocked by a proposal for a nearby motorway.

Dan Parkes, the film's director, said: "We made this on next to nothing, yet it looks fantastic.

"It is a real tribute to the hard work and talent we have in Sussex, and the film's themes regarding village life and discrimination that has attracted many to support the project."

jonathon -seems like you should watch this film, as its all about small town minded prejudice and discrimination, which you seem to be showing by your unfair comment about Brian -who is not only a more than competent actor, but also a gentleman.

The film is excellent. It plays a good reminder for everyone to widen out, accept and get something good from other cultures. Mexican, Japanese, Ucranian and Spanish participants perform really well.It is a lovely film that I would recommend to anyone.
