Two young boys had to be rescued after drifting out to sea on a surf board.
The boys, who have not been named, were rescued by kite surfers off the Hastings coast at about 3pm today.
The Hastings Inshore Life Boat was launched to assist in the rescue.
Both boys were reunited with their mothers.
