One man was taken to hospital after an arson at a block of flats.

Aston House in Freehold Street, Shoreham, was the scene of a police investigation this morning.

Firefighters were called at 10.38pm on Saturday after a fire started in the first-floor hallway of the building, which contains four flats.

A man was led to safety and taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment after breathing in smoke.

A fire investigation dog was being brought to the scene this morning.
