Armed police arrested a man after reports a samurai sword had been used to smash a car window.
Sussex Police’s tactical firearms unit was called to Halland Road, Moulsecoomb, at about 10.30pm yesterday.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon and making threats to kill.
He is being questioned in custody today.
