I didn't see him get stabbed but I saw him afterward as I walked along. It looked pretty severe but he had plenty of medical attention, hope he's ok. I heard there were 3 stabbings in Brighton that night!

By the Thistle Hotel? You mean just a few hundred yards from the fall-out that is West Street?

SERIOUSLY

Close down West Street, or keep them all contained in there.

This is just yet another reason why I stopped going out in central Brighton anywhere near West Street on the weekend. Hope the bloke is ok, what a horrible attack to happen.

Nooooo. Don't close West Street! That would mean all the chavs and lemmings would start drinking in all the nice places around town! Keep them contained in their little tacky commercial strip that's what I say!

I am a SIA door supervisor. I have worked West Street bars since 1993 when i worked The VIP club currently the joint i think and i worked Swifts. West Street is a scummy place I have seen some disgusting sights i think the worse was a pretty young women all dressed up crapping in the gutter out side Nation Wide.
I hope the thug that done the stab gets 25 years but he wont. Knives need to be treated the same as gun crime and long sentance's are needed.

This story doesn't have the full details that the other Argus story does. This didn't inolve a knife it was a smashed bottle, not that it makes it any better. I hope they catch the sod.
