Shoreham Beach is being tipped as a future rival to a famous millionaires’ playground.
Estate agents are comparing the area to Sandbanks, the Dorset peninsula which is renowned as one of the most expensive places to live on the planet.
Properties on the exclusive dune near Poole cost famous sportsmen and entrepreneurs up to £10,000 a square metre.
But Sussex housing experts have said the foreshore near the mouth of the River Adur is becoming an alternative for footballers and wealthy businessmen seeking a seaside home.
Andrea Harding, of international estate agents Hamptons, said the "big money" was starting to move to Shoreham.
