A youngster was targeted with a taser gun by the police.
Officers from Sussex Police pointed the immobilising tool, which fires up to 50,000 volts through a person’s body, at a minor but did not release the charge.
The incident emerged after a Freedom of Information request.
It is the only recorded case of a stun gun being used against a person under the age of 18 in the past two years.
In 2008 there were 10 recorded incidents of a taser being fired.
In 2009 so far there has been 2 incidents.
Earlier this year the constabulary refused to apply for more guns.
