Woman killed in fatal car crash in Crawley


A YOUNG woman has died after a car crash.

The 20-year-old's Mini collided with a Peugeot 207 in the crash in Balcombe Road, Pound Hill, Crawley at about 5pm yesterday.

The driver died at the scene from he injuries.

Sussex Police has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

Any witnesses are urged to call 0845 6070999 and quote Operation Greatham.

sympathies to her family. it is a sad fact that to cause serious injury or fatality, speed has to be a factor, as modern cars do have crumple zones, which are effective in low speed bumps. don't forget, even if both cars are doing 30, the impact speed is actually 60. i don't the area very well, but i think pound hill is a housing estate, so you would expect both cars to be within a 30 limit.

You couple of twats. A young woman has lost her life, and you two are arguing over what sort of Mini it is.
Why don't you both go and get lives.
Sadly this poor woman doesn't have that choice.

Fot the information of you insensitive people i knew the driver very well. aime was a very sensible driver and yes the car was a new mini only a few years old. now please find something else to ocupy your time and leave poor aimes family and friends to grieve. R.I.P you were one in a million
