A man was rescued by firefighters following a blaze at a block of flats this morning.
The fire started in the kitchen of a first floor flat in the building in Linton Road, Hastings, just after 7.30am.
The blaze was put out within half an hour.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but did not need hospital treatment.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
