Concern growing for missing Crawley woman

CONCERN is growing for a Latvian woman who went missing last month.

Nadezda Nikitina was last seen on October 9 before she took a week’s holiday from her job at Tesco in Pound Hill in Crawley.

The 29-year-old did not return to work and colleagues grew increasingly concerned because the absence was out of character.

She was reported missing on November 12.

Police later discovered she had not lived at the address she had given to Tescos in Cromwell Place in East Grinstead for over a year.

Inquiries with the Latvian Embassy have revealed that she may be using a false name.

Det Insp Russ Shepherd, who is leading the inquiry, said: "These are very unusual circumstances but we are treating this as a normal missing person inquiry and want to satisfy ourselves that Nadezda, as we know her, is safe and well.
