Firefighters called to five reports of lightning strikes

Firefighters were called to five reports of lightning strikes on Thursday night but only one property was damaged.
The strikes took place in the Aldwick area of Bognor with damage caused to a detached home in Hamilton Gardens.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the property at 11.51pm where they took advice from Arun District Council building control and made the sure it was safe.
No one was injured and no fire broke out.
