So I had a fairly horrible time on Sunday's long run and decided to delay yesterday's session to this morning. And I woke up and THERE WAS NO WIND. And THERE WAS NOTHING FALLING FROM THE SKY. Good omens indeed.
It was an 'easy' run today, of 1 hour. I'm not going to say it was easy, but it was a vast improvement over the past few sessions. I've not been hugely helped by a stomach upset, which also seems to have gone away. By the time I got to the seafront, the sun was rising in the sky and it was bright and clear and, well, lovely.
There were quite a lot of people out this morning, walking dogs or out running as well and there was a lot of nodding and smiling in passing. I started to remember why I have been known to actually enjoy the whole thing. By the time I finished I was most definitely refreshed and wide awake!
A small technology failure means I only recorded the time (1 hour) this morning and not the distance I covered, but in a stunning lack of originality I'm doing the same courses over and over, so I can confidently claim to have covered 6.25 miles.
So there we have it. I'm getting back in the groove and hopefully it's onwards and upwards from here.
