Budget airline easyJet said the hangover from yesterday's bad weather would see scores of flights cancelled from Luton, Gatwick, Stansted, Glasgow and Edinburgh airports this morning.
British Airways cancelled all UK and European flights departing after 7pm yesterday, and was "strongly" advising passengers to check their flight status before setting off today.
Staff at Gatwick were working to clear a backlog after reopening the runway last night.
Passengers are advised to check Gatwick's website before travelling.

the country closes down again because of snow? OR is it know-alls who think they can be sued if someone slips and has an accident on the way to school! Using that logic the schools would never be open

More telling is that Heart FM always tends to have more info then even BBC Sussex radio, yet council says listen to Sussex radio (guess that's who they tell - bit out of touch maybe B&H council)
List on here is considerably shorter than the one on Heart - nice to see the Argus has the ability to be really up to date !

Cat Machine I agree - the Same Sky website has absolutely nothing on there! It's a shame - this event would have been beautiful. And Rostrum I was wondering how the day could all of a sudden become the longest day of the year when the sun sets at 3pm! :) Nevermind, Happy Christmas everyone!
