South Nutfield 233-6 dec
Horsley & Send 235-5

After some early morning rain and with the skies still overcast, Horsley and Send won the toss and had no hesitation in asking South Nutfield to bat first on a damp track.

South Nutfield got off to a slow start and lost a couple of early wickets, but Julian Walker steadied the ship with a masterful 101. His second 50 came off just 30 balls as he took the second string bowling apart.

He was ably supported by in-form batsman Jason Gentles who scored a brisk 78 allowing South to declare on 233. The pick of the Horsley and Send bowlers was Christie, who bowled the entire innings to record figures of 4-85.

Horsley and Send's top order struggled with wet conditions, as opening bowler Ed Bartlett took four wickets for 56 to reduce the visitors to 80-5.

As batting conditions became more favourable an unbroken stand of 155 for the sixth wicket saw the away side to victory. South were left to rue four dropped catches that robbed them of victory.
