A miracle baby, who was saved by bubble wrap, gave her parents the best Mother's Day present ever.
Delighted mother Jodi Andrews and partner Mark James got to spend yesterday with the daughter doctors told them had little chance of living.
Tiny Annabella was small enough to fit into the palm of her father's hand when she was born 17 weeks prematurely.
But doctors at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey battled to keep her alive, wrapping her tiny frame in bubble wrap to keep her warm.
Healthy Annabella's parents, of Willingdon, Eastbourne, said it was a “miracle to spend Mothering Sunday with their now healthy eight-month-old daughter.
The couple, who also have a six-year-old son Ellis, said they had the perfect day together as a family.
Electronics expert Mr James, 34, said: “This is the best Mother's Day treat we could have imagined to see Jodi and Annabella together.”
