Events to raise money for Sport Relief have already kicked off ahead of tomorrow’s (Sunday) main charity run.
From 18 years old to 80, people across Sussex have been getting involved.
Girls from Brighton and Hove High School ran 1,000 miles between them and two headstrong teenagers from BHASVIC rolly-pollied their way round a mile long course raising more than £100 for the cause.
Tomorrow youngsters from Sussex Cricket Academy will put their sports prowess to a very different kind of test. They will run a challenging four mile course through Brighton and Hove in full cricket kit. They will be joined by hundreds of other runners including DJ Norman Cook, Olympic champion Sally Gunnell and EastEnders actress Laila Morse.
Those taking part in the event in Brighton can chose to run either a one, three or six mile course. Participants set off from Madeira Drive at 11am, midday or 1pm depending on which course they are running.
Other Sport Relief runs take place are at Worthing Leisure Centre from 10am, Oakmeeds Community College, Burgess Hill, from 9.30am, Littlehampton seafront from 10am, Eastbourne Sports Park from 9am, Horam Village Hall, from 10am, East Grinstead Sports Club from 10am and Westgate Leisure Centre, Chichester, from 9am.
