Four people have been taken to hospital after a crash on the M23.
Three lanes of the A23 were shut this evening as emergency services attended the two-car collision at the northbound junction with the M23 between Pease Pottage and Crawley at about 6.15pm.
Sussex Police reopened one lane at about 7.10pm.
A police spokesman said one man and four women were treated for minor injuries and four were taken to East Surrey Hospital.
It is thought one of the cars turned over in the collision.
Police, the Highways Agency, South East Ambulance service and fire crews from Crawley all attended the scene.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: "One of the cars was well alight but no one was trapped."
