The glitz and the glamour of Strictly Come Dancing has tempted many of us to dress up in sequins and take to the floor.
But for four well-known residents, their ballroom dancing debut will be all the more daunting because it will take place in front of one of the stars of the show.
Katya Virshilas, who partnered former England cricketer Phil Tufnell through the BBC series last year, will be flying over from Denmark for the charitable Snowball at the Brighton Hilton Metropole.
Katya said: "I'm delighted to be able to support the Brighton Strictly Snowball and it should be a terrific night of dancing. It'll be nice for me to be in the judge's seat for a change."
Katya will perform with professional partner Klaus Kongsdal and then join the judging panel to assess a Strictly-style dance-off.
It will include Midsomer Murders star Kirsty Dillon, the Brighton Sea Life Centre's Max Leviston, Mark Buckle, of North Star Motors, and Robbie Raggio, owner of Hove Car Wash.
The quartet, who have never tried ballroom dancing before, will be given five hours of lessons before taking to the floor in front of the crowds.
The Snowball, which was first launched in 2003, will take place at the hotel on Saturday.
It will raise money for the Hilton in the Community Foundation and Have a Heart, Heart FM's charity to support children's community projects in the area.
Tickets cost £60. For more information, call 01273 715043.
