There are still no clues to the whereabouts of teacher Jane Longhurst who vanished more than three weeks ago.

Police appeals have generated 100 calls from members of the public but none has produced a concrete lead.

Detectives, who are treating the case as abduction and murder, admit the case is baffling and frustrating but are not winding down their inquiry.

About 60 detectives plus search teams and civilian staff are working on Operation Keen from Brighton police station.

Miss Longhurst, 31, disappeared from her home in Shaftesbury Road, Brighton, on March 14.

She had few possessions with her and both her partner Malcolm Sentance and her family insist she would not have run away from her life.

Miss Longhurst, who plays the viola in orchestras, is a teacher at Uplands School for children with learning difficulties in Hollingdean, Brighton.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police working on the case on 0845 6070999.
