Ex-England goalkeeper David Seaman swung into action during a celebrity golf day.

The event was held at East Sussex National Golf Club in Little Horsted, near Uckfield, to raise money for Action Medical Research.

The day was organised by Burgess Hill-based Avanti Systems which manufactures office partitioning.

More than 30 celebrities, from Arsenal footballer turned TV presenter Ian Wright to retired jump jockey Josh Gifford, joined up with 30 teams of amateur golfers.

The company plans to hold another two celebrity golf days over the next two years.

It aims to raise a total of £50,000 for Action Medical Research.

The Horsham-based charity has funded medical breakthroughs for more than 50 years, including major advances in developing the polio vaccine, ultrasound scanning in pregnancy and hip replacement surgery.
