It's all very well politicians saying thousands more houses need to be built in the South but what about the water supply?

Will it mean, in the future, we will have to use standpipes? Perhaps we should consider using a seawater desalination plant.

When the Co-op store had a dairy in Hanover Crescent, it had bore pumps which supplied water.

Are these sources still tapped by Southern Water? At low tide, fresh water can still be seen flowing into the sea, east of the Palace Pier.
