Darren Currie is seeing double today after earning Albion a point.

The wide midfielder is aiming for at least ten goals this season following his first half opener in Saturday's 1-1 home draw against Sheffield United.

Currie revealed: "I've set myself a target of double figures and I believe I am capable of doing that. I am happy that I have scored in the last two home games."

Currie, overlooked by United after a trial when he was 16, latched onto a crossfield pass from Leon Knight to add to his free-kick against QPR last month.

The nephew of former United legend Tony Currie said: "Goals like that are quite nervy, because you have got so much time and space that there is a bit more pressure to score.

"Leon did really well to turn his man and there was a great weight on the pass."

Manager Mark McGhee believes dead-ball specialist Currie is capable of reaching his target.

"Darren looks as if he has got goals in him," McGhee said. "We fancied him to get a goal eventually other than a set piece. It was a good goal and a good move.

"I think he should get double figures, because he will score four, five or six goals from set pieces and he has got another three or four in him as well."

Adam Hinshelwood and Albion team-mate Dan Harding join the England squad in preparation for Friday's European Under-21 Championship qualifier against Wales.

The Seagulls do not play again until October 16, which gives them a chance to reduce a long injury list and rest weary limbs.
