Can any of your readers help me?
I am researching the history of a 1960 Triumph TR3A sports car which was registered in West Sussex during the 1970s. The registration number of this car is OEN173 which is a Bury Lancs number issued August 1961.
Presumably it was run under an earlier (cherished?) registration for the first year of it's life. It was originally red but has been re-painted blue at some stage.
It could have been used for rallying when it was new. Unfortunately, the DVLC destroyed all the old records and we have no information about this car before 1977 when it was sold to someone in the area of the old GLC (Greater London Council) but "previously registered in West Sussex" appears on the record card held at Manchester RO.
Does this description jog anyone's memory? Any information gratefully received.
