Transport group Go-Ahead has boosted its car Parking business at UK airports, including Gatwick, with a £1.2 million acquisition.

Go-Ahead said the deal to buy Chauffeured Parking Services (CPS) would enhance profitability and generate savings at its car parking arm Meteor.

CPS generates an annual turnover of £2.2 million from providing parking services such as valeting and airport transfers.

The core business involves customers driving directly to the airport, where a chauffeur parks their car.

The acquisition of CPS gives Meteor a presence at Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham airports as well as valet parking services at Heathrow.
