Sorry, Mr B Johnson (Letters, March 31) but it is you who is being selfish.

The Albion, in this division, in a modern stadium, would attract a crowd of 25,000, which is ten per cent of the population of Brighton and Hove.

This is more than any other spectator sport or any other event would attract in Sussex.

All the club and fans ask is that 90 hours a year (30 home matches covering three hours each) in total - which amounts to 1.03 per cent of the time in a year - be given for our entertainment.

The rest of the population have 98.97 per cent of the year to do exactly as they wish and the Albion faithful would never complain.

You and the other whingers and do-gooders of Brighton and Hove should get yourselves lives because other people enjoying themselves obviously upset you.
