Steve Kabba scored all four goals as Crystal Palace out-played Crawley Town to beat them 4-0 at Broadfield Stadium.

Reds held out for 43 minutes before conceding their first goal when Kabba scored from just inside the penalty area, placing the ball to the left of goalkeeper Andy Little.

Crawley were chasing shadows against a Palace side who included Latvian internationals Alex Kolinko in goal and Andreas Rubens on the left wing.

Rubens set up the second goal on 54 minutes, sprinting past two Crawley defenders before crossing for Kabba to expertly put away. Kabba completed his hat-trick in the 64th minute, the ball bouncing kindly to him off Little and he netted on the rebound from close range.

Six minutes before the final whistle the Eagles' striker scored his fourth goal, receiving an incisive one-two from Robert Smith and confidently dribbling around Little before tapping home.

The only cause for cheer for the Broadfield faithful was Danny Hockton's enterprising rush into the penalty area on 79 minutes but his useful shot was comfortably saved by Kolinko.

Palace had dominated from the word go, with Crawley not managing a single attack in the first half, while the visitors bombarded the Town area with shots from Kabba, Gareth Williams, Ben Surey and Rubens.

Lewes and Hastings United shared the Andy Sinden Memorial Shield following a 2-2 draw at the Dripping Pan.

New signing Gareth Green and trialist Andy D'Arcy, from Ryman League premier division side Croydon, were on target for Lewes. D'Arcy converted a penalty after John Palmer had been brought down. A Stuart Myall penalty and Landry Zahana-Oni accounted for United's tally.

Hastings fielded Ollie Rowland in a left-sided role. Rowland scored 21 goals for Whitehawk last season and finished the campaign on trial at Albion.

The match raised more than £1,000 for charity and for the family of Andy Sinden, a former Lewes manager who died earlier this year following a long battle with motor neurone disease.
