Jack Pearce wants to go head-to-head with his growing band of critics.

The under-fire Bognor boss hopes to hold a meeting with fans as his side's promotion dream fades.

But he insisted: "Anyone who thinks I'm doing a good job should stay away. I only want to meet the people who are criticising me. All I ask is that they come with an open mind."

Pearce added: "I'm told I'm getting a bit of stick on the club website but I don't know how to work that so it doesn't bother me. People will always have a go at the manager but we are as disappointed as they are with how things have worked out."

Worthing boss Barry Lloyd has more incentive to surf the net. Fifty-seven per cent of fans voting in a poll at worthingfc.org believe Rebels are playing better football since he took over.

Lewes boss Jimmy Quinn has admitted victory in Monday's derby with Horsham has kept the Ryman League division two title race alive.

The Rooks claimed a 1-0 win, thanks to a controverial 90th-minute penalty from teenage striker Lee Newman, his 27th goal of the season.

Quinn said: "If Horsham had won, I don't think we would have caught them.

"We are not playing that well at the moment. We have new faces in there and we are not playing anywhere as well as we were earlier in the season. With that in mind, I don't think we would have caught Horsham."

The title race resumes tomorrow with leaders Horsham at home to Met Police and Lewes entertaining Cheshunt.

Quinn added: "We have seven games left and it is a case of one game at a time. You cannot under estimate any team. We play Cheshunt tomorrow and they drew at Horsham a few weeks ago. They are second bottom but every game is a battle."
