Natasha Thoday's appearance disrupted the class she was asked to teach and sent a ripple through the whole school.

Andrew Kearsey had no option but to ask her to leave. He did this purely for the good of the children.

Had Ms Thoday been allowed to stay, I would have been outraged and deeply disappointed in Mr Kearsey's decision.

Ms Thoday's pleasure at flaunting her new Mercedes car, which she bought with money obtained in an out-of-court settlement, was quite sickening.

I have no doubt Ms Thoday is a very good teacher but if she had any feelings for children and schools, how could she think of taking money from their education funds?

She has "proved her point", as she put it, but at the cost of our children.

I am sure Mr Kearsey has the backing of a great many parents and I am proud to know he is looking after the welfare and education of my child.
